I know how a police officer searches for their new home, because I
did it. If you are fortunate enough to want to live in the city where you work,
you frequently drive through the neighborhood. You probably even check with
Crime Prevention on statistics in the neighborhood.

I remember driving around on graveyard and spotting a home for
sale. I would pull the flier and call my agent to leave them the details on it.
I went through a lot of agents before I found one who understood why I was
leaving voice mails at 3am, but I did not want to be called until later the
next afternoon when I woke up.
When it came time to sell my home, I couldn’t make them
understand that “owned by a police officer” was not a marketing
point. They also didn’t understand why I wanted to limit the hours the
home could be shown. “Don’t you want to sell your house?”
Yes, I did. I also wanted to get at least six hours of sleep every night.
Imagine that!
I understand what you are looking for in a home. I don’t make
assumptions. I listen to what you want, then I find it for you. Whether we look
at one home or forty homes, we’ll find exactly what you are looking for.
My lender thoroughly enjoys getting loans for police officers. Loan
companies consider us an excellent risk because of our character and our job
stability. It makes the lender’s job much easier. Cal-PERS has some
wonderful home mortgage options, but other companies will clamor to beat their
programs if they can.
